Adult Protective Services APS Aids in preventing, reducing, and remedying conditions causing endangerment to adults maximizes their independence and enables them to remain in their homes as long as possible. Adult Protective Services Works to Help our Elderly Population Adult Protective Services APS works to ensure the personal safety and well being of elderly citizens of Montgomery County. We investigate suspected abuse, neglect, self neglect and exploitation of people, primarily age 60 and over.
Adult Protective Services. A state mandated program that investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, self neglect and/or exploitation of vulnerable adults. The program provides professional services to reduce risk factors and promote protection of the health, safety and welfare of endangered, vulnerable adults. Montgomery County Government Adult Protective Services (APS) does, however, have concern for the health and welfare of people who are vulnerable and unable to protect themselves. Adult Services Programs offer support to elderly and disabled adults, provide protective services to vulnerable adults and regulate certain residential services. In addition, we offer employment services to adults receiving work first cash assistance and offer other supportive services to recipients of various financial assistance programs.
